Artist Refat Mamutov works in the techniques of painting, pastel, watercolor, collage, assemblage, and object. The characteristic features of his creative manner are the conciseness and capacity of the plastic language, the generalization of forms. Refat Mamutov graduated from the Faculty of Art and Graphics of the Nizhny Tagil State Pedagogical Institute in 1990. He strives for the precision of minimal pictorial forms. These tasks are often accompanied by work with color, texture, and the overall structure of the pictorial surface. Since 2001, he has been a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. His works have received numerous awards, including the 2015 Monochrome Photography Award and the IPA Russia International Award.
