Sergey Sukhov

Honoured Artist of Russia. Professor of the Ural State Academy of Architecture and Art.

Born in 1952 in Ryazan. 1974 graduated from the Sverdlovsk Institute of Architecture, majoring in design.

Since 1975 taught the art of drawing and painting in the Ural State Academy of Architecture and Art.

Since 1982 member of the Union of Artists of the USSR (Russia).

Participant of numerous regional, all-Russia and international exhibitions.

Sergey Sukhov is a brilliant master of landscape painting. A magnificent watercolorist, he painted in tempera, oil. The manner of Sergey Sukhov has always been distinguished by a subtle "rhythmic constructivism". Landscapes of Sergey Sukhov come from Ples and its environs - from where the famous canvases of I. Levitan were born, and this is the continuity of generations. His pieces of work make part of many collections, including the Ekaterinburg State Museum of Fine Arts, the Ekaterinburg Gallery of Modern Art, and private collections in Russia, Italy, France, Germany, USA, Canada and England.
